Algeria drafts mobilisation bill as regional tensions rise

A new government bill has been drafted in Algeria to streamline the process of military mobilisation as tensions with Mali and Morocco rise, according to AP on April 30th.
The bill is set to be officially announced next week by the Minister for Justice after being approved by the government.
Whilst the bill has the support of government ministers, it is expected to be met with contention by large swathes of the population.
