South African FM denies accusations of a white genocide

South Africa’s foreign minister Ronald Lamola has denied the claims by the United States that a genocide of white Afrikaners occurring in his country.

According to France 24, the Foreign Minister rejected US assertations, stating “ There will never be an exodus of white Afrikaner farmers on the basis of a genocide.”

His comments come as South African President Cyril Ramaphosa is set to visit the US and meet with President Trump in an effort to reset relations after the United States accepted a group of white South Africans as refugees.
