EU to offer €4 billion in aid to Egypt

The EU has offered to provide another €4 billion in aid to Egypt in order for the country to meet their financial needs according to The New Arab and Agencies on May 20th.

The aid which will arrive in the form of a loan follows on from a loan from the IMF to Egypt which also makes up part of the package.

The EU said instalments would be “linked to satisfactory progress with the implementation of both the IMF programme”.
