Egypt introduces ban on Syrians coming into the country

AU suspends Niger until “restoration of constitutional order”
Egyptian authorities have told airline and travel companies in the country to not allow Syrian nationals from going to Egypt from any location in the world, apart from those who have temporary residency permits.
This is the second time the country has implemented a decision to stop the entry of Syrians since Bashar Al-Assad’s regime collapsed in Damascus on December 8th, The New Arab reported on January 3rd.
A fortnight ago, the country placed a ban on the entry of Syrian nationals with European, American and Canadian residency permits, unless they attained previous approval of security from Cairo.
A ban was also put in place on Syrian Schengen visa holders and Syrians married to Egyptians, unless they also have a security permit.
