UN condemns deadly shooting at Gaza aid site

The United Nations and humanitarian organisations have raised concerns following the deaths of three Palestinians and injuries to dozens more, caused by Israeli gunfire at an aid distribution site supported by both Israel and the United States, according to a report by Middle East Eye on May 28th. 

The incident took place in Rafah, located in southern Gaza, where desperate civilians stormed the aid centre amid prolonged delays related to security screenings.

UN spokesperson Stephane Dujarric called the situation “heartbreaking, to say the least.”
