Israel claims that Iran’s underground uranium enrichment centrifuges in Natanz have been damaged by Israeli airstrikes, according to Middle East Eye on June 13th.

The IDF said in a statement that the underground facility contains “a multi-storey enrichment hall with centrifuges, electrical rooms and additional supporting infrastructure.”

It added that “critical infrastructure enabling the site’s continuous operation and the Iranian regime’s ongoing efforts to obtain nuclear weapons were targeted.”

This statement comes after Israel launched what it calls a “pre-emptive” combined offensive on numerous Iranian nuclear and military facilities on the morning of June 13th.
