The US has intensified aerial reconnaissance in the central Mediterranean, tracking multiple aircraft near Libya’s coast.

According to the Libya Review, an MQ-4C Triton drone and a Challenger 650 SIGINT aircraft conducted extensive surveillance missions between Sicily, Tunisia, and Libya.

The operations, monitored by ItamilRadar, involved monitoring maritime zones, coastal movements, and collecting electronic intelligence. A C-130J Super Hercules was also observed arriving at Misrata Airport from Crete.

The coordinated deployment suggests ongoing assessment of regional security dynamics, potentially linked to counterterrorism and migration monitoring.
