France has stopped five Israeli arms companies from exhibiting products at the Paris Air Show, because they were “offensive weapons”, Al-Monitor via AFP reported on June 16th.

A black wall covered the displays of Israel Aerospace Industries (IAI), Rafael, Uvision, Elbit, and Aeronautics. The companies, which produce guided bombs, missiles, and drones, were accused of showcasing weapons used in Gaza, allegedly breaching terms agreed with Israel, a government source of France said.

Isaac Herzog, Israel’s President, spoke out against the block. He said it is “outrageous” and urged for it to be swiftly “corrected.” The Middle Eastern nation’s Ministry of Defence said the move amounts to “segregation” of the Israeli firms.
