More than 16,600 students have died in Gaza and the West Bank

At least 16,607 students have died and 26,271 have sustained wounds since Israel’s war on Gaza and the West Bank began on October 7th 2023, Middle East Eye via Wafa news agency reported on June 17th.

The data, which comes from The Palestinian Ministry of Education, has revealed that 16,470 students have died and 25,374 have suffered injuries in Gaza. In the case of the West Bank, 137 students have died, 897 have sustained injuries and 754 have been arrested.

The ministry also said that 914 teachers as well as staff members who work in administration have died and 4,363 have suffered wounds within the West Bank and Gaza.
