Morocco and Ethiopia strengthen military cooperation

On June 17, Morocco’s Minister Delegate for the National Defense Administration, Abdeltif Loudyi, signed a military cooperation agreement with his Ethiopian counterpart, Aysha Mohammed Mussa, reports Moroccan-friendly outlet Yabiladi.
The partnership between Rabat and Addis Ababa covers training, military exercises, joint drills, scientific research, and military health. It provides for the establishment of a joint military commission to define new avenues for cooperation.
The signing of this agreement was among the planned outcomes of a visit by the Inspector General of the Royal Armed Forces (FAR) to Addis Ababa from April 23 to 26.
