Russia’s army captures another village in Ukraine

On June 18, Russia’s military announced the capture of another village in Ukraine’s northeastern Sumy region, where Moscow has intensified its offensive in recent weeks, according to Anadolu Ajansı.
The Russian Defense Ministry stated via Telegram that its forces had taken control of the settlement of Novomykolaivka.
This latest advance comes amid stalled peace negotiations and Moscow’s continued refusal to accept the unconditional ceasefire proposed by Kyiv and its European allies. Ukraine has dismissed Russia’s conditions as mere “ultimatums” and insists it is maintaining strong defensive operations while inflicting “significant losses” on Russian troops.
