Criminals arrested over suicide bombing in Syrian church

Authorities in Syria said on June 23rd that those involved in a suicide bombing on a Damascus church have been arrested, as the country’s leader, Ahmed al-Sharaa pledged that those involved in the incident will face justice, Al-Monitor via AFP reported.

A total of 25 people were killed and 63 suffered wounds after the shooting and bombing attack took place in Dwelaa district’s Saint Elias church.

According to the authorities, the person who carried out the attack had ties with the the Islamic State group. As of yet, the group has not claimed responsibility for the incident.
