Gaza: 788,000 students out of education due to Israeli attacks

Israel’s war on Gaza has had an extreme effect on education in Gaza, in which 788,000 students have not been in education since October 7th 2023, Middle East Eye reported on June 24th.
Reportedly, 352 public schools have been damaged, while 111 have been destroyed entirely. A total of 89 schools led by the United Nations Relief and Works Agency for Palestine Refugees in the Near East (UNRWA) have been bombed, while 91 public schools have also been subjected to bombing attacks.
A total of 20 higher education institutions have received strong blows, with 60 universities being completely destroyed. Additionally, eight universities and 152 schools in the West Bank have been stormed.
