Israel-Hamas Gaza ceasefire negotiations heat up

Gaza ceasefire negotiations between Israel and Hamas have heated up “in recent hours” with mediators, a Hamas official said on June 25th, Middle East Eye via AFP reported.

The official, Taher al-Nunu, said: “Our communications with the brother mediators in Egypt and Qatar have not stopped and have intensified in recent hours.” Al-Nunu said Hamas has “not yet received” new ceasefire proposals for the conflict.

The activist, Bishara Bahbah, who has been a mediator for the ceasefire, said on June 24th a deal could be reached in “days,” according to The Times of Israel.
