Every five seconds, a child is displaced, injured, or killed amid ongoing conflicts in the Middle East and North Africa (MENA), according to UNICEF, Africanews with AP reported on July 2nd.

In under two years, out of the nearly 110 million children living in conflict-affected MENA countries, at least 12.2 million have been directly impacted. Reports suggest that over 12 million children have been displaced, more than 40,000 injured, and nearly 20,000 killed.

For many, violence has become a daily reality, with homes, schools, and health facilities destroyed, inflicting long-lasting psychological trauma on millions of children across the region.
