Netanyahu pledges to tackle “vilification” of Israel online

Israel’s Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said on July 8th that he pledges to tackle the “vilification” of Israel on social media, according to The Guardian.
Netanyahu said: “I think there’s been a concerted effort to spread vilification and demonization against Israel on social media.” The prime minister believes this alleged social media campaign has caused the decrease in Israeli support among voters in the US.
Netanyahu defined the “vilification” as “malignant” and claimed it is being funded. He said that he intends to “fight” the narrative online and added that “nothing defeats lies like the truth.”
