Jordan’s government on July 9th announced that legal actions will be carried out against organisations which purportedly have ties to the Muslim Brotherhood, according to Al-Monitor

According to the Petra news agency, actions were taken against a number of entities in Jordan which were allegedly under the “influence” of the Islamist group.

Founded in Egypt in 1928, the Muslim Brotherhood operates across Arab nations, such as in Syria, Tunisia, Jordan and the Palestinian territories. In April, Jordan’s Interior Ministry declared that the group’s operations have been prohibited.
