Israel wants to transform Gaza into “Hong Kong” of Middle East

Israel is contemplating a plan that will displace Palestinians and transform Gaza into the Middle East’s equivalent of Hong Kong which will host illegal Jewish settlers, The New Arab reported on July 22nd.
The proposal, which was discussed on July 22nd in the committee of the Knesset intends to reinstate “Jewish presence in Gush Katif.” The proposal would see Gaza’s remaining infrastructure dismantled, and replaced with modern urban and commercial infrastructure which is solely for Israeli settlers.
The proposal would see free-trade zones, AI-driven transport, luxury homes, as well as artificial islands off the coast of Gaza.
