UN: Syria’s sectarian violence has displaced 145,000 people

Fierce sectarian violence in the Syrian province of Suweida has caused at least 145,000 people to be displaced, the UN announced on July 23rd, according to The New Arab.
According to the UN’s Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs (OCHA) some of those who became displaced, relocated to Daraa and the rural part of the Syrian capital of Damascus.
SANA, Syria’s state news agency, reported that 500 people headed to Daraa on the night of July 23rd. OCHA said that a convoy arrived in conflict-hit Suweida with food, fuel, flour as well as medical provisions.
