Libya: 50 Sudanese refugees found and rescued from desert

The Anti-Illegal Migration Agency in the Libyan district Al-Kufra found and rescued 50 displaced Sudanese people, including women and children, stranded in the desert some 450 kilometres from the city on July 31st, according to the Libya Observer.
Al-Kufra receives the highest number of Sudanese refugees of any Libyan city, and there is an urgent need to give them legal representation to safeguard their interest.
On July 29th a spokesperson for the Municipal Council in Al-Kufra called for the reopening of the Sudanese consulate to tackle this issue, a potential solution which is currently in motion.
