Yemen: Over a million attend rally supporting Palestinian cause

Over a million people have attended a rally in Sanaa, Yemen, to express solidarity with the Palestinian cause, as the crisis in Gaza worsens, Middle East Eye reported on August 1st.

The turnout of the rally, which was shared in an X post by the chairman of the board of directors for Yemen’s Saba news agency, sparked a response from an Algerian sports commentator.

The commentator, Hafid Derradji, who is an ex-footballer, said on X that Yemenis have continued to act in solidarity with Palestinians despite the existing humanitarian catastrophe in Yemen.
