Ship held in Greece allowed to carry military equipment to Libya

A Panama-flagged cargo ship, was allowed to continue to Libya despite being detained at the port of Astakos in Greece after being intercepted by EU forces, as covered by Maghrebi Week on August 11th.
The ship’s manifest listed cosmetics, cigarettes, and electronics but Greek authorities reportedly revealed hundreds of military jeeps, purportedly bound for the Libyan city of Misrata, which is under General Khalifa Haftar’s control.
Despite the military grade items in the ship’s cargo, it was eventually allowed to proceed by Greek authorities and finally arrive into Libya.
