Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has proclaimed that he is on a “historic and spiritual mission” in pursuit of a “Greater Israel”, according to Middle East Eye on August 13th.

During an interview with Israeli media outlet i24 news, Netanyahu said that he feels very connected to the expansionist vision that would see Israel fully annex the occupied Palestinian territories alongside parts of Egypt, Syria and Jordan.

“Greater Israel” refers to the 1967 Six-Day War borders, where Israel seized control of the Sinai Peninsula, the Gaza Strip, the West Bank, East Jerusalem, and the Syrian Golan Heights, as reported by Middle East Monitor on August 13th.
