Israel accused of “ethnic cleansing” by Palestinian Authority

The office of the Palestinian President, Mahmoud Abbas, has claimed that Israel has conducted “ethnic cleansing” in the occupied West Bank, The National reported on February 3rd.

The Ramallah-based health ministry says Israeli forces have killed 70 people within the territory this year, such as 10 children, two elderly people and a woman.

Under the name the “Iron Wall,” Israel attacked the West Bank a couple of weeks ago. A spokesman for Abbas who had called for the UN Security Council to have a meeting about the operation, said 29 Palestinians were killed in the territory so far and whole neighbourhoods have been destructed.
