US to remove all troops from Syria, report says
The US Department of Defense is drafting its plans to entirely remove troops from Syria, NBC news reported on February 5th, which cited two US defense officials, the Middle East Eye via Reuters reported.
The report says that the US President, Donald Trump, as well as officials that are close to him, recently conveyed interest in withdrawing all troops from Syria.
As a result, the Pentagon started creating plans to withdraw from the Middle Eastern country in 30, 60 or 90 days. Around 2,000 US troops are still in Syria today, a Pentagon announcement made in December said.
