EU wants Palestinians from Gaza to return home

The EU intends to tell Israel next week that Palestinians displaced from their homes in Gaza should be guaranteed a return and that Europe will help with the rebuilding process of the territory, a document said, The Arab Weekly via Reuters reported on February 18th.

This goes against US President Donald Trump’s intentions to take over the strip and rebuild it into a “Riviera of the Middle East,” while the people of Gaza emigrate to other countries.

The EU, which has been a significant provider of aid to Palestinians, will express its take to Israeli officials during discussions due to take place on February 24th in Brussels, forming part of the EU-Israel Association Council.
