Israeli forces have destroyed 120 buildings in Jenin as part of an intensified attack on the occupied West Bank that has for the first time seen tanks being deployed since the second Intifada, The New Arab reported on February 24th.

The destruction of houses comes with the destruction of roads and other infrastructure in the city.

Tanks were also present in Jenin and on February 23rd stormed the city, reaching the Jenin camp, Palestinian news agency WAFA has said. This marks the first time since 2002 that Israel’s tanks have been deployed to the occupied Palestinian territory. Israel’s military offensive on the city as well as its adjacent camp for refugees, has gone on since January 21st.
