Libyans want elections as soon as possible

The United Nations has finished conducting public surveys across Libya in which citizens are given four options proposed by an Advisory Committee of political experts to give a preference on, as reported in Maghrebi Week on August 24th.
The most popular option, favoured by 42% of respondents, is to hold both parliamentary and presidential elections at the same time, while the second most population option proposes dissolving existing Libyan institutions, and instead forming a new dialogue forum and constituent assembly.
Local elections have recently been held across multiple municipalities in Libya after delays and suspensions, but a lack of electoral laws has prevented presidential or parliamentary elections from taking place.
