US advocacy group says Gaza aid system is counterproductive
The US-based Center for Constitutional Rights (CCR) has said that a Gaza aid organisation is causing more turmoil in the war-torn enclave, rather than reducing it, as reported by Maghrebi Week on August 25th.
In reference to the Gaza Humanitarian Foundation, CCR said: “GHF, far from alleviating suffering in Gaza, is contributing to the forced displacement, killing and furtherance of genocide of Palestinians.”
The CCR also said that the GHF is closely tied to the Israeli government and “US for-profit private military contractors.” It added that the public image of GHF’s aid distribution hubs are “scenes of chaos and carnage.”
