Libya: UN launch initiative to examine media’s role in conflict

The United Nations Support Mission in Libya has invited a group of journalists to participate in an event exploring the role of journalism in the political process, according to the Libya Observer on September 16th.

The discussion will cover how Libyan media can contribute to public awareness, promote national unity, and help reduce conflict and polarization.

Libya’s media is facing significant challenges with governments targeting people for political reasons, putting journalists at risk.
