Political parties in Jordan are taking part in a hunger strike to express solidarity with Palestinians in Gaza and have called on Jordanians to support those in the enclave, The New Arab reported on September 16th.

Known as “Empty Stomachs for Gaza,” the campaign intends to push the international community and key officials to urgently stop Israel’s military campaign.

The Labour Party’s secretary-general, Rula al-Hroub, said on September 16th that the hunger strike is going on between September 16th to September 23rd.
