Sudan and South Sudan agree to protect oil facilities

Sudan and South Sudan have reached an agreement to protect oil infrastructure responsible for transporting South Sudan’s crude oil to Port Sudan on Sudan’s eastern coast, according to Menafn on October 6.
In a joint statement, the two countries unveiled plans to strengthen cooperation on counterterrorism measures and establish a joint economic committee that aims to promote collaboration across multiple sectors.
This initiative aims to facilitate cross-border trade and investment, bolster the oil sector and its supply chains, and expedite the transit of goods bound for South Sudan.
