Israel ignores Trump’s order to “stop bombing” Gaza

Over 100 Palestinians have been killed by Israeli attacks since October 3rd, despite Trump calling for Israel to lay down its arms, the Middle East Eye reported on October 6th.

US President Donald Trump ordered Israel to “immediately stop the bombing of Gaza” on October 3rd, with Hamas agreeing to release the remaining Israeli hostages as part of a US-led peace plan, that would see Hamas surrender its weapons.

On October 5th, the Israeli military chief Eyal Zamir said that there is no ceasefire as of yet, but instead, a “change in the operational situation.”
