Qatar and Saudi Arabia qualify for the World Cup
On October 14th, the FIFA World Cup preparation games saw Qatar and Saudi Arabia qualify for the 2026 tournament after the matches played against the UAE and Iraq, respectively, the New Arab has reported.
With their qualification, Qatar will play its second ever FIFA tournament – after qualifying as the host at the 2022 World Cup – and a more experienced Saudi Arabia will play its sixth.
The wins have made Qatar and Saudi Arabia the sixth and seventh Arab nations to qualify for the FIFA World Cup of 2026, which is set to be held in the United States, Mexico and Canada.
