Israel attacks Gaza as ceasefire crumbles

On October 19th, Israeli attacks across Gaza killed scores of Palestinians, in what has been termed as a significant breach of the Gaza ceasefire, as reported by Middle East Eye and agencies.

The Israeli military said the attacks were in retaliation to a purported assault on its soldiers by Palestinians in Rafah, But the Middle East Eye was not able to verify the alleged attack.

Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu vowed to take “firm action” and Israeli ministers have previously called for a full resumption of Israel’s genocidal war.
