Parisian police have reported that “priceless” historic jewellery was stolen from the Louvre Museum on the 19th of October, according to The Guardian.

The thieves reportedly used an angle grinder to break the windows and gain entry. The French Interior Minister, Laurent Nuñez, stated that the thieves were clearly “an experienced team”, describing the jewels as having “inestimable heritage value”.

The French culture ministry explained that eight items of jewellery were removed from the museum. No injuries were reported in the incident.
