Tunisia: Two men involved in Belaid murder sentenced to death

The Tunisian Court of Appeal upheld their death sentences for Mohamed Aouadi and Ezzedine Abdellaoui, according to Maghrebi Week on 20th October.
The two men set to be hanged were involved in a case from 7th February 2013, where a left-wing Tunisian figure, Chokrie Belaid, was found shot dead in his car.
While some of the 23 defendants in the related case had their sentences and terms reduced, Aoudia and Abdellaoui have had their punishment upheld for involvement in the political assassination.
