Algeria’s military chief of staff to meet Shoigu in Russia
Algeria’s military chief of staff will meet with Russian Defence Minister Sergei Shoigu. There are currently no details as to what both parties will discuss.
Russia is however attempting to strengthen military cooperation with non-Western countries due a Western-backed Ukrainian counter-offensive in a war that began in February of last year.
Shoigu is back in Russia from a visit to North Korea on what he said was a trip to strengthen military ties. The US has claimed that the meeting was likely aimed at securing weapons supplies.
