IMF to give quake-hit Morocco 1.3 billion USD loan
The International Monetary Fund (IMF) will give Morocco a 1.3 billion US dollar loan, according to Moroccan state media, September 19.
The IMF-World Bank meeting will take place in Morocco’s western city of Marrakech, close to the epicentre of this month’s deadly earthquake.
The meetings will take place from October 9 to 15 as Moroccan authorities granted permission to the IMF and World Bank group to host the meetings, which take place on a yearly basis.
