New Algerian ambassador to Spain appointed

Following multiple clashes with the European country, Algeria appointed a new ambassador to Spain, reports Africa News. 

Friction between the two countries have been ever-present over the past couple of years due to the contentious issue of the Western Sahara. 

The Algerian Ministry noted that, on November 16, the Spanish government appointed Abdelfatah Daghmoum as the ambassador.
