US launches strikes on Islamic State in Somalia
President Donald Trump announced tat the US military conducted air strikes on Islamic State group targets in Somalia on February 1st, according to RFI.
The governing body of the country’s semi-autonomous Puntland region said on February 2nd that US military strikes in the Golis mountains had killed “key figures” in the Islamic State group.
Trump wrote on the Truth Social platform on February 1st that he had ordered “precision military air strikes on the senior ISIS attack planner and other terrorists” in Somalia.
