New Manchester-Rabat route announced by Ryanair

Irish airline Ryanair is about to launch a new route linking Manchester to Rabat from March 30th
According to The North Africa Post, the route will operate twice weekly, said Manchester Airport.
The flights will operate on Wednesdays and Sundays, making Rabat the fifth Moroccan destination directly accessible from Manchester Airport.
Currently Ryanair have routes from Manchester to Casablanca, Tangiers, Marrakech, and Agadir.
During 2024 alone, around half a million passengers flew to Morocco from Manchester, a significant increase from 275,000 in the previous year.
British media widely reported the new service, praising the Moroccan capital as a must-see tourist destination.
One such media publication was The Sun, which described Rabat as a “discreet seaside jewel.”
Earlier in March, Morocco made changes to their airports, removing security scanners from the entrances in order to cut waiting times as their airports deal with increasing numbers of travelers.
Morocco is aiming for its airports to handle up to 60 million passengers by 2030 in preparation for the World Cup.
