Algeria invited to Qatar’s social development summit

The Algerian President, Abdelmadjid Tebboune, received the ambassador of the State of Qatar to Algeria, Abdulaziz Bin Ali Ahmed Naama Al Naama, on May 20 according to government-friendly outlet AL24 News.

Naama presented Tebboune with an invitation from the Emir of the State of Qatar, His Highness Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani, to attend the World Summit for Social Development which will be held in Qatar.

The news comes amid Algeria’s increasing regional isolation, and rising Saudi-UAE influence in Algeria’s rival Morocco.
