Yemen’s Houthi movement has escalated its attacks on Israel, launching a ballistic missile at Ben Gurion Airport and two drones at Tel Aviv, Middle East Eye reported on May 22nd.

Israel’s military said it intercepted two missiles from Yemen, triggering sirens across the country, including in Jerusalem and the occupied West Bank.

Despite agreeing with Washington to halt attacks on US ships in the Red Sea, the Houthis have vowed to continue targeting Israel in support of Palestinians in Gaza.

In response, Israel has carried out repeated airstrikes on Yemeni territory, hitting infrastructure in Sanaa and ports in Hodeidah and Salif.
