Trump’s 12-nation travel ban begins

According to Middle East Monitor and agencies on the 9th of June, a new travel ban signed by US President Donald Trump has taken effect, targeting citizens from 12 countries including Afghanistan, Iran, and Yemen, with additional restrictions placed on several others such as Cuba and Venezuela.
As reported by CBS News, the order intensifies Trump’s immigration enforcement efforts but does not revoke visas already issued. However, beginning 9th June, new visa applications from the listed countries will be denied unless applicants meet narrow exemption criteria.
