The Moroccan National Team won the 2025 Fédération Internationale de l’Automobile (FIA) MENA Karting Nations Cup title with a 15-driver race team in Qatar, according to Yabilaadi on October 27th.

The team from the Royal Moroccan Federation of Motor Sports defeated Lebanon and the host country, Qatar, in the kart racing competition, which took place from October 22nd to October 25th. The competition saw participants from 18 countries in the MENA region, with 173 drivers in total.

This marks Morocco’s second regional title after 2022, expanding its influence in regional karting. The highlights of the competition include: Nahyl El Gahoudi, who won the Mini Max category (his second title after 2023), Anis Tazi, who won the Senior Max category; which is also considered a stepping stone to Formula 4, and Nadir Kabbage, who secured his third consecutive DD2 Max crown.

Morocco also performed in the team-based category of Endurance, in which stamina, teamwork, and reliability are tested for long hours. Tarik Almou, Nizar El Haddad and Saïd Bouchoua came second as a team, while Ghali El Fechtali finished third in the DD2 category.

On September 16th, a young Moroccan racer, Sofia Zanfari, secured a double podium at the French F4 and is considered a rising star in Moroccan racing. She was among the six women in a grid of thirty drivers, which is exceptional for the F4 series.

The Royal Moroccan Federation of Motor Sports continues to set its sights on global glory at the FIA Games — widely regarded as the Olympic Games of motorsport. Morocco’s success in the race was attributed to “years of structured talent development and training”.

Morocco’s global sports scene continues to triumph with the recent under-20 football world cup championship, as the Kingdom is preparing for the 2030 FIFA World Cup as hosts alongside Spain and Portugal.
