Israeli army launches incursion in Syria’s south
Five Israeli military vehicles were seen entering Syria’s south, as Israel’s military conducted an incursion into Quneitra’s countryside, according to the Middle East Eye and agencies on November 24th.
It was reported on November 22nd that Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu met with Israeli soldiers in occupied Syria.
The Golan Heights has been occupied by Israel since the 1967 Six-Day War, and was officially annexed by Israel in 1981; an estimated 25,000 Jewish-Israeli settlers live in the territory.
