Sudan’s ongoing civil war has increased arms and mercenary trading across North and Central Africa, according to Maghrebi Week on 8th December.

The United Arab Emirates use of Chad, Libya and other African countries to funnel support to the Rapid Support Forces has created a web of opportunities for criminals seeking to profit from the conflict.

The war has also increased munitions exports from Sudan, with pictures of DshKM machine guns seen for sale in markets in Chad and on Facebook.
