UN secretary general visits Saudi Arabia on Middle East tour
The UN Secretary General Antonio Guterres met with Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman in Riyadh to discuss regional issues, reports The National via Saudi news agency SPA on December 11th.
They discussed efforts to “enhance global security and stability” and the need for multilateral collaboration. Guterres is expected to visit Iraq and Oman next on his short tour of the region.
Saudi Arabia has been an active partner in regional talks with Egypt and other regional leaders on the situation in Gaza, and also exhorted Trump to get involved in Sudan.
