Israel accuses Iran of arming Shiite militias in Iraq

Israel’s Kan radio claimed on November 4th that Tehran is arming Iraq’s Shiite militias in anticipation of another war with Israel, according to Asharq Al-Awsat via Israel’s Kan radio.

Citing Iraqi sources informed on the subject, the radio report said that Iran is increasing its support for pro-Iranian proxies in Iraq amid concerns about Israeli incursions into southern Lebanon.

This report followed Iran announcing that it would rebuild its nuclear sites “with greater strength” following US and Israel-backed strikes on Iran in June.
